Meijer has a blu-ray player for $99 (shipped!) and Wal-Mart has one for $128. These are great prices, but it has to hurt Sony PS3 sales. For a while, the $399 console was your best option for a Blu-Ray that also got you nextgen gaming in the same package.

Now it is not looking like a great deal. I am not going to be able to convince my wife to approve a $399 PS3 “because it also has a Blu-Ray player.”

Maybe we will see a price drop from Sony soon.
